What are Intercom and Access control systems?

We want to have an image to feel safe and to intervene early in the events that will happen in our lives with this image.Or we want to keep some events under control.You can provide yourself a more reliable environment with these systems that you will create in your homes, workplaces or site entrances and exits.Intercom systems, which have an internal communication channel as more detailed versions of voice communication infrastructures used in workplaces and apartments, can be divided into video, audio, wired or wireless. Although the wired intercom system is difficult to install, it takes precautions against possible interference, while wireless intercoms are an intercom system that is easier to install and is likely to cause interference.

Access access control systems, on the other hand, are a control system that provides easy control of private areas open to personal or collective use, and provides security by defining the people you want to enter with the eye, fingerprint or card registered in the system. Now let's examine the features of these systems.

Features of Intercom Systems;

- Unknown or suspicious persons can be prevented from entering the building when video or instant communication is provided.

- It can provide remote viewing to places such as playgrounds, parks, car parks, if the security cameras connect.

- It can be managed remotely by working in harmony with home automation systems.

- Can be used for audio or video communication

- Multi-talk between connected devices

- Make, answer and even manage calls

Features of Access Access Control Systems;

- It is used to determine the entry/exit times of employees in factories or companies.

- Management of security alarms or door lock on/off feature

- It is used in hospitals such as operating rooms and x-ray areas.

- Authentication (such as password, card reading, biometric data)

- Used to control site and building entrances/exits.

- Time and date based access control

- Remote management and control

- Keeping access logs

- User authorization

- Reporting and monitoring

What are the Differences

While the intercom system is used to establish voice communication between more than one person in a place, the access control system is used to control the entrance and exit to an area.

While the intercom system is generally used in closed areas such as offices, schools, hospitals or buildings, the access control system is generally used for security purposes and allows certain people to enter certain areas at certain times.

While the intercom system is used for voice or video communication, the access control system performs functions such as user authorization, authentication, time and date based access control, reporting and monitoring.

While the intercom system operates via voice or video communication, the access control system may include security measures such as card readers, biometric readers or codes.
